Ms. Barreto has been licensed to practice law since December of 2008. While still in law school Ms. Barreto worked for the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office, Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Western State University Civil Practice Clinic, and clerked for the Honorable Justice Jeffrey King at the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Two. Ms. Barreto was then hired by the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office and worked there for 3 years. While at the District Attorney’s Office she had the opportunity to prosecute hundreds of cases and obtain invaluable litigation experience. She handled a variety of cases including domestic violence, drugs, DUI’s, property and theft crimes.
Since 2012 Ms. Barreto has been in private practice handling a wide array of cases in the areas of criminal defense and family law.
